Devotions – God Loves To Give Gifts

God Loves To Give Gifts

Matthew 7:11 The Voice

So if you, who are sinful, know how to give your children good gifts, how
much more so does your Father in heaven, who is perfect, know how to give
great gifts to His children!

God loves to give gifts. He’s forever blessing us; often with many gifts we
take for granted. Think about nature. What would the world be like if
everything were black and white and all the same texture?

Have you ever stopped to think that God was behind all the blessings in
your life? We don’t always read the tag, “Love God,” but it’s there.

Take the time to notice things today. What’s around you? Who’s connected to
you? What do you have?

Take a few minutes today to thank Him for His wonderful blessings.

Father, thank you for _____________________________. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Devotions – Serve Him In Every Choice

Serve Him In Every Choice

Joshua 24:15 The Message

“If you decide that it’s a bad thing to worship God, then choose a god
you’d rather serve – and do it today. Choose one of the gods your ancestors
worshiped from the country beyond The River, or one of the gods of the
Amorites, on whose land you’re now living. As for me and my family, we’ll
worship God.”

This Scripture is clearly a call to get off the fence and decide whether
you will serve God Almighty or an idolatrous god. We’ve already chosen to
serve God, but we can take this Scripture to heart in our day-to-day lives.

How many times do we allow other people, propaganda, or fleshly desires to
sway us in some of our decisions? Perhaps we can be more God-conscious in
all we do.

Don’t allow the enemy to condemn you for poor choices. Simply look to your
loving Father to lead you in the best choices.

Father, I desire to serve You in every choice. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Devotions – Choose His Way

Choose His Way

Psalm 37:5 New King James

Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to
pass.

Your way or His way? Sometimes, it’s easy to think we’re doing something
God’s way when we’re really doing it our way.

Committing your way to God is an ongoing process – not a one-time event. We
would do well to commit all we do to Him. He is trustworthy. Don’t let fear
cause you to make decisions and do things your way. Trust Him and know that
He will lead you in the very best way.

Father, I commit my way to You. I will trust You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Devotions – You Are Royalty

You Are Royalty

1 Peter 2:9 The Voice

But you are a chosen people, set aside to be a royal order of priests, a
holy nation, God’s own; so that you may proclaim the wondrous acts of the
One who called you out of inky darkness into shimmering light.

I cringe when I hear believers talk down about themselves. We are sons and
daughters of the Most High God. We are chosen, redeemed, and precious.

Yes, all this is because of God. Just like a king or queen crowned royalty
because of birthright, so are we crowned royalty by God. We are His
representatives – not lowly worms.

He wants us to walk with our head held high, understanding our value in
Him, and representing Him well.

Receive your son-ship/daughter-ship. Hold your head up high – not in pride,
but in the understanding of whose child you are.

Father, I receive my son-ship/daughter-ship. I will represent You well. In
Jesus’ name. Amen.
