Devotions – God Is Faithful To Fulfill His Will

God Is Faithful To Fulfill His Will

Habakkuk 2:3 Good News Translation

Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the
time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem
slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will
not be delayed.

God sees the end from the beginning. He is committed to His plan. God is
not limited to time. He works with our choices. When we choose well, things
go quicker. When we do our own thing, His will takes longer to come to pass
in our lives.

The Israelites made choices that kept them in the wilderness for forty
years. Pharaoh chose tomorrow for the time of deliverance. His choice meant
living with the plague of frogs for one more day.

The more we allow God to lead us, the quicker the process. Quicker doesn’t
necessarily mean our version of quick. In fact, it seldom means that.

Had the Israelites gone into the promised land right away they would have
shaved off forty years, but they still had years of taking over the land.

In our instant society, we want everything immediately. God’s call on our
lives is established and fulfilled over a lifetime.

Father, I want to be led by Your Holy Spirit in all I do. In Jesus’ name.
Amen.
