Devotions – God’s Empowerment

God’s Empowerment

Psalm 34:19 Good News Translation

Good people suffer many troubles, but the Lord saves them from them all.

Troubles are everywhere. No one is exempt. There’s no magic wand to wave
that eliminates the troubles in life, but God will empower you to rise
above or conquer every problem.

I often think about the life of David. Anointed King, David spent many
years on the run. Life wasn’t easy for that mighty man of God, but God
always came through for him.

God hasn’t changed. He’ll always come through for us because He’s a
faithful God.

Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Devotions – Remember!

Remember!

Deuteronomy 4:9 The Voice

So watch what you do! Be careful with your very life! Don’t forget the
things you saw with your own eyes, and don’t let them fade from your
memory. Remember them your whole life; teach them to your children and your
grandchildren.

We must remember what God has done for us. It’s so easy to get caught up in
the day-to-day struggles, decisions we need to make, as well as the battles
of life. The more we remember God’s faithfulness to us, the easier it will
be to trust Him.

The battles of life shout and sometimes scream out to us. Let the memories
of God’s faithfulness be the voice in your ear and the picture in your
mind.

There is nothing too great in your life that God cannot empower you to
overcome. Trust Him.

Father, I choose to trust You in all areas of my life. I will follow your
leading. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Devotions – The Key To Success

The Key To Success

1 Samuel 18:15 Amplified Bible

When Saul saw how capable and successful David was, he stood in awe of him.

God called David a man after His own heart, because David constantly sought
the heart of God. He was always quick to repent and quick to run to God.
David walked in humility because He understood that his greatness was
because of God. He boldly walked in God’s anointing.

Let us follow in David’s footsteps of running to God, walking in humility,
seeking the heart of God and being quick to repent. Let us boldly walk in
the anointing God has set upon our lives.

Father, I choose to walk in humility. I will run to You and seek Your
heart. I will boldly walk in Your anointing on my life. In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Devotions – Trust God To Stop The Enemy’s Outcome

Trust God To Stop The Enemy’s Outcome

Genesis 37:19-22 Amplified Bible

And they said one to another, See, here comes this dreamer and master of
dreams. So come on now, let us kill him and throw his body into some pit;
then we will say , some wild and ferocious animal has devoured him; and we
shall see what will become of his dreams! Now Reuben heard it and he
delivered him out of their hands by saying, Let us not kill him. And Reuben
said to them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit or well that is out
here in the wilderness and lay no hand on him. He was trying to get Joseph
out of their hands in order to rescue him and deliver him again to his
father.

I don’t believe that Joseph went to Egypt the way God originally intended,
but He used the situation at hand. In the midst of the situation, the enemy
moved on the hearts of Joseph’s brothers in an attempt to kill Joseph. God
intervened! He moved on one brother’s heart to overtake the enemy’s plan. I
believe Joseph chose to trust God in the midst of a dire situation.

Don’t blame God for your situation; trust Him! Trust Him to turn things
around.

Father, I trust You to turn the situations in my life around so that Your
will goes forth in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
