Dare to be Bold
Joshua 10:10,14,16 Good News Translation
On the day that the Lord gave the men of Israel victory over the Amorites,
Joshua spoke to the Lord. In the presence of the Israelites he said, “Sun,
stand still over Gibeon; Moon, stop over Aijalon Valley.” Never before, and
never since, has there been a day like it, when the Lord obeyed a human
being. The Lord fought on Israel’s side! The five Amorite kings, however,
had escaped and were hiding in the cave at Makkedah.
Joshua wasn’t afraid to pray a bold prayer, and it paid off. Don’t be
afraid to ask God for things. Better to have asked and not received. You
won’t receive if you don’t ask. Dare to be bold!
Father, I will be bold in my prayer life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
